When I first visited the caves of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, I fell into a state of mild shock. How could people live like this?!??? I couldn't understand, and I can't now. It cannot be analyzed from the point of view of physical or metaphysical logic. People have voluntarily chosen this path. The way to communicate with God. But how is the path of God justified? Does God need him at all? Does he need self-torture, scolding, celibacy? As one of Daphne du Maurier’s heroes put it, “Sacredness does not cast out the devil, but drives him deeper inside.” And he's probably right. If we recognize God as the creator of all things, then not only the spiritual but also the physical laws of nature are subject to him. And a person is harmoniously developed only if he lives in harmony with both. And the condemnation of oneself to abandon part of these laws makes one think about the sincerity of "passionate bearers", or about their mental health. . . Great movie. Playing deaf is doubly difficult, and the actress perfectly coped with this role. I recommend it.
